■Requirements for
③NON-TRAINEES(FIRST TIMERS)

If you do not have any experience of coming to Japan you still have a chance to work here under Specified Skilled Worker Visa1. For this you must:

◉Undergo 6months of training for whatever job category you chose(from 14industries)
◉Pass the specified skills evaluation test for the job category you underwent
→Please be careful when choosing a job category. After you finish training it may take time for some categories to conduct the specified skills evaluation test. For example, you chose building cleaning as a category to train for 6months. You finished your training successfully but there is no date yet of when the test will be held, so for that you will have no choice but to wait. (The timing is also important if you want everything to go smoothly)
◉Train for Japanese language proficiency test ( to pass the required level N4 )
→You will be required to train for certain hours..
→Training may exceed depending on the learning pace of the person.

◇If you’re an ex-trainee but did not complete the TITP
→This includes trainees who retire during their training period or runaways
◇If you’re a foreign exchange student here in Japan but did not finish school
→You must meet your intended purpose here in Japan to be able to shift to SSWV1
◇If you cannot provide the required documents
◇If your job category and job operation as trainee is not eligible to shift to SSWV1

IF ONE OF THE STATEMENT MENTIONED ABOVE APPLIES TO YOU
YOU WILL NEED TO START AS FIRST TIMERS TO BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR SSWV1
